[Ethiopia] KVO staff, performed voluntary activity with Korean President Myung-Bak Lee

On 9th and 10th of July, KVO Staffs in Ethiopia chapter attended banquet which is held by Korean president Myung-Bak Lee, who visited Ethiopia as one of his schedules of Africa tour, with volunteers from kOICA and other NGOs who work in various regional fields.

Especially, KVO staffs visited Garearera-farm village with hills-where is 1 hour away from Addis Ababa with president Myung-Bak Lee and did voluntary activity on 10th of July.

KVO voluntary staffs arrived at Garearera in the morning with president and actively participated in constructing public restroom and community center, fixing healthcare clinic and fences around well and preventing the village against epidemics

The place 멒arearera in Oromia state is farming village where has got 60 dollars only for its average monthly income. Therefore, it was great to have an opportunity to help people who concentrate their life on agricultural industry.

Furthermore, KVO staffs performed balloon art program for children in regional area and gave some stationeries to them as gifts. It could be said that this performance gave pleasure to children in this area.

After all the works were over, Min-Young Lee (one of KVO Staffs) who attended voluntary activity-which is followed by president visiting-commented. 밒t was pretty exhausting since the voluntary activity started from early morning. But I could spend joyful time with people in little farming village. Especially, it was much more meaningful since president made long journey to small village in Ethiopia and did voluntary activity with volunteers.
